The beginning of this month was pretty dang amazing to say the least. If you know me, you’ve probably heard that I was training for a half marathon in Daytona, Florida. In general, I have come to love running. Yes, it’s painful at times and I question why I signed up while I’m mid way through my race, but I have my reasons- believe me.
Happy New Year! It’s that time when everyone places extra attention on their schedules, workouts, diets…you know the drill. Just when the hustle and bustle of the holiday season passes, the new year tends to instill motivation and focus. The feeling of starting fresh is always nice.
This post is a bit overdo but I decided I had to share my amazing experience in Las Vegas. Funny story is that although I’ve been wanting to go to Las Vegas for a while, I found more of a reason to make it happen when I won a little contest on the radio. The prize included a hotel stay and tickets for Cirque du Soleil. Can we talk about how that has been on my bucket list for a while now?? Needless to say, I was very excited.
Finally December! All I want to do is build an indoor fort, have a movie marathon, make hot chocolate, and go to Christmas parties. This holiday season came fast (as per usual), but this time with some changes. My older sister moved out and even though the family members living in one roof got smaller, our new Christmas tree got bigger! Much better than the last one!
First of all, sorry I’ve been AWOL. I miss blogging so much but this fall semester of school takes up a lot of my time. But I’m back! Finally! 🙂 Juggling two jobs can also be a challenge at times but I love the hustle so it’s all good!
Although I tend to blog about the highlights in my life, the “lifestyle” portion of my blog should really encompass the hard truths, even if it isn’t so pretty. So while I would love to talk about fashion and lovely fall styles, I can’t in the midst of the turmoil Florida is experiencing due to Hurricane Irma, one of the strongest storms ever measured in the Atlantic to date.
Hello lovely people! I’ve been a little MIA ever since school came back but nevertheless, I’m glad to be blogging again. Well, remember when I mentioned that I joined the FL Panthers ice crew in this post? I’m still super pumped and hockey season hasn’t even started yet!
As I bid adieu to summer trends, I couldn’t be more excited for the new season. People say there’s only two seasons in Florida, and it definitely feels that way. But interestingly enough, fashion used to be that way too. Although lately, there’s been more “micro seasons” between the major Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter.
Living in Florida sure has its good moments. I love where I live because I’m not too far from major cities but if I want to go to a more secluded area full of nature, I can make that happen. This week for example, my sister and I decided to go explore this area in Loxahatchee, Florida. If you don’t know this community, think of a rural area with a lot of plantations and you got it.
Although I have lived in South Florida for years, this year was my first time attending Miami Swim Week. Working with the swimwear brand, Ola Feroz, I was able to participate in some of the awesome events that week!
