This past week was Spring break, woohoo! Well, to be honest now that I’m an adult and working a lot more it doesn’t quite feel like a break. But I still had one extra day off so I took full advantage. I went to a local Japanese garden to rest my mind a bit. The garden takes you through a loop around a lake. Towards the end, there’s this little house where each room describes some part of the Japanese culture. I was so intrigued and it fed my wanderlust even more! I would love to one day see the cherry blossoms in Japan and learn more about its beautiful culture.
Chicago has been on the top of my travel list for a while. It was bittersweet when a friend who’s close to me moved there. It was definitely time for a visit! By the way, I’m a little late with this post as I went there a few months ago (November), but the trip was too good not to share!
This past weekend I decided to go exploring Miami with my sister and brother-in-law. Miami is not too far from where we’re located and there’s always something to do there. So on Saturday we spent the day shopping on Lincoln Road and checking out the shops in the area. Maybe I spent a little too much time at Zara with my sister. Oops! Afterwards, we took the elevator to the top of this parking garage with the most insane views of Miami! I’m all about the views so why not?
I know that a lot of people think this day is cliché; trust me, I’ve been there too, but I actually love the true meaning of Valentine’s Day. Once you get past the materialistic side, it really is just about sharing love with others. And I don’t think this day has to be just about romantic love either. So single people (or couples), if your only plan is to stay indoors today, I’ve got a nice treat for you. Today I want to share some of my favorite teas and their amazing benefits to bring on all the good feelings! Get cozy and I hope you enjoy every moment of today.
Today I just wanted to share a few tips for those who want to build a more active lifestyle. Although I’m not a personal trainer, I hope my experience in running several races, two of which were full marathons, will inspire you to build a foundation for a healthier lifestyle. I thought of this title for my article because we all start from somewhere. Running may not be for everyone and there are plenty of other activities that you can also do to stay active, but I just wanted to focus on how you can progress from ground zero to the runner you aspire to be!
I’ve been feeling really inspired after looking at some of the S/S17 runway pictures. Sleeves and shoulders are becoming a huge staple this season. You’ve probably seen the off-the-shoulder look in several stores. I personally love the look.
This weekend I went on a little vacation to Orlando and Tampa with the family. The cooler weather is usually a slower season for theme parks so it’s a good time to go if you want shorter lines for rollercoasters and such.
Living in Florida, it is inevitable to go to Key West at least once in your lifetime. It all begin when my older sister and I decided to run yet another half marathon.
I love that I can get away with wearing sweater dresses and sheer tights in the peak of winter in Florida. I know a lot of people complain about Florida but I’m happy to live where I live, especially during winter season. It’s not too cold, not too hot, it’s just right.
