Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen the gingham print that has been everywhere (in the fashion world). It’s a fun print that reminds me of a picnic lunch in the park. Couldn’t be more reminiscent of summer! I’ve seen this print styled just about every way and I love how creative people are with it.
Recently I re-introduced myself to one of my hobbies from the past: figure skating. Maybe you have a pastime or hobby that you used to do when you were younger but stopped for whatever reason. I’ve been there. Life gets in the way and as you grow up, sometimes it becomes more routine- if you let it. I’m thankful that right now I don’t have classes so I’m trying to maximize my free time. Obviously I still have my downtime where I love just catching up on shows on Netflix. Well maybe like one show per day, while I eat breakfast. Multitasking is good, guys! But I’ve been learning the importance of balance. What it comes down to is organization and preparation. And this can really apply to anything you want to do. Even if it’s a fun activity, sometimes you have to plan it out so that you don’t waste time trying to figure things out the day of. So I took this into consideration and decided to go figure skating yesterday. It’s been a while so I had to get my muscles used to it again (muscle memory came in handy though, lol).
Hello beautiful people! This past weekend has been unforgettable! The gloomy weather that had been prevalent throughout the beginning of the week was replaced by glorious sunshine. Perfect timing for sure because I spent my weekend in South Beach, Miami. A conference took place in Fillmore Theater that was actually organized by the church I regularly attend: Vous Church. Words can’t describe how impacting this event was, and I mean that in a very positive way!
Wow! It’s crazy to think we are already in June! As we are moving closer and closer to summer, I wanted to end the Spring season with some good tips to lighten your load and help with the transition. Although I have a love/hate relationship with the idea of Spring cleaning, I find that I feel so much better after. I’m sure you will too! Here are some tips to help say hello to Summer with not only a fresh closet, but a fresh mindset:
I hope you guys are having a great week! Summer is kicking in and so are my plans! With the downtime that I have now that classes are done, I love taking full advantage of the extra time. So I recently went to this amazing and not super well known beach. Sometimes I’m up for big beach days where everyone’s there, but other times I really like to go to the quiet side of the beach. There’s just something about that solitude. Anyway, this beach was peaceful and as a bonus, it had a super cool looking lighthouse right across the inlet. That obviously calls for some pictures, right??
Hello!! Glad to finally be posting again on the blog as this is the last week of school and then I’ll be somewhat free! Anyway, today’s look is fun and convenient in the sense that it you can make it a day to night look. I’m also a fan of staple pieces that are flexible for several occasions!
It’s April Fools Day and Spring is officially here! I’m definitely a fan of stripes and I find that they’re easy to wear. If you decide to mix and match prints, keep one outfit piece stripes because it’s the one print I find that goes with a lot of styles!
This past week was Spring break, woohoo! Well, to be honest now that I’m an adult and working a lot more it doesn’t quite feel like a break. But I still had one extra day off so I took full advantage. I went to a local Japanese garden to rest my mind a bit. The garden takes you through a loop around a lake. Towards the end, there’s this little house where each room describes some part of the Japanese culture. I was so intrigued and it fed my wanderlust even more! I would love to one day see the cherry blossoms in Japan and learn more about its beautiful culture.
Chicago has been on the top of my travel list for a while. It was bittersweet when a friend who’s close to me moved there. It was definitely time for a visit! By the way, I’m a little late with this post as I went there a few months ago (November), but the trip was too good not to share!
