Although I have lived in South Florida for years, this year was my first time attending Miami Swim Week. Working with the swimwear brand, Ola Feroz, I was able to participate in some of the awesome events that week! The first night was a Peroni sponsored event at the Edition Hotel in Miami Beach. Ola Feroz was one of the featured brands throughout the swimwear presentations. Ola Feroz is local to where I live and all of their bikinis are hand-made in their in-house showroom. The quality is seriously exceptional. The new collection just launched and I’m obsessing over all the colors and prints! After the presentation, we enjoyed some drinks sponsored by Peroni. The Edition Hotel also has their own ice skating rink, bowling alley, and nightclub/lounge area called Basement. Conveniently enough, we decided to check it out after the event. My friends and I had the best time ice skating and dancing the night away!
On Saturday morning, Ola Feroz had two pop up shops: one at the W Hotel and the other at the Shelborne Hotel. I worked the pop up shop for Ola Feroz at the Shelborne Hotel. Again, Peroni sponsored the event. I loved checking out the other shops in the cabanas! Right across from the Ola Feroz cabana was the Kathe Cuervo pop up. They sold hand-made jewelry and I couldn’t resist getting my own sterling silver necklace with the word “Blessed” engraved on it. I had to have it! The whole event was a blast! It also helped that we got free drinks and treats for working the event:) Later in the afternoon, there was another swimwear presentation with tons of other bikini & beachwear brands.
The first night, I wore a wrap top and nude leather skirt from LF. Since the top was low cut, I paired it with a bikini top from Ola Feroz. I mean, I am at a swimwear event so why not? My lucite heels have become my recent obsession because it goes with just about everything! For the daytime event at the Shelborne Hotel, I wore a floral romper with a gold body chain also from LF. The bralette is a lacey one from Free People. My biggest tip for anyone attending daytime events for Miami Swim Week is to not wear anything too heavy because this may just be the hottest week of the year (pun intended).
I’m so glad to have been involved in Miami Swim Week for the first time. Is it too soon to think about Miami Swim Week 2018? 😛
As a new blogger at this event, I would love to have connected with more bloggers in the area. If you were there or wanted to attend, let me know in the comment section below! Love connecting with you guys!
