Living in Florida sure has its good moments. I love where I live because I’m not too far from major cities but if I want to go to a more secluded area full of nature, I can make that happen. This week for example, my sister and I decided to go explore this area in Loxahatchee, Florida. If you don’t know this community, think of a rural area with a lot of plantations and you got it.
So if there were to be a bamboo plantation anywhere in South Florida, this would definitely be the place! I found it online and decided to check it out. It was a bit of a drive but so worth it. Just beware of the one lane dirt road right before you get there. Not used to that! The bamboo garden actually has its own nursery for baby bamboo trees. They sell the baby bamboo trees if you’re interested in making your home a tropical oasis! Overall, it was such a nice little hidden gem. You can even rent the location out for dinner parties if you wanted since they have a covered area with tables and lights. If you take a look at this location, it will make you feel like you are in a tropical getaway! This was my main inspiration for my outfit.
Still in the spirit of Miami Swim Week (read more about it in this post), I decided to make this outfit primarily about my one piece swimsuit. It’s effortless and fun! I’m sure you’ve seen one piece swimsuits more often recently. Well, wearing it in lieu of a regular top with shorts is a great way to be creative with it! Also, I love to wear red every now and then. It’s definitely a pop of color but I feel like it can even affect your mood! (See more about that in this post). I just added an arm cuff, a gold bodychain and voila! Not to mention, it’s pretty humid in this area so the low back one piece was spot on perfect!
Have you guys styled your swimsuits as outfits before? I’d love to hear how you did it!
